YOUnique invitation for Meeheeka’s 1st Birthday Celebration

Birthday is a sweet occasion! It really, really calls for a grand celebration. In fact, if it’s the first ever birthday then of course the courses of celebration must be mind-blowing.

It was no exception with Meeheeka; when the tiny, little angel decided to give her first big bite on the cake. Her parents from Mumbai approached us at YOUnique and we were entrusted with the job to create an invitation card for this gala event.

The venue was fixed at ITC Sonar, Kolkata… where the function was supposed to welcome a set of handpicked guests who were the crème de la crème of society… on October 25, 2009.

As the gravity and weight of the happening suggested, the invitation had had no chance to be something ordinary, run-of-the-mill or me-too.

So, the first things first, we decided not to dabble with any idea that was close to clichéd. Hence things like cartoons, caricatures, etc. were dropped, immediately, off our mind.

Simple thoughts put in, and it was decided that the theme would be built around Meeheeka herself.

Since, Meeheeka means a “dew drop” the visual showcased that only and an easy-on-tongue yet meaningful verse –

Beneath your feet
To top of your mind,
I bring happiness
Everyday, every night.

A little drop of dew
MEEHEEKA is me,
Your joy to share
With a pristine glee!

– was composed to define and complement the visual, aptly.

The invitation was made in a very straightforward way; where one was cordially invited by Meeheeka herself to celebrate her first bite on the cake.

The tonality of colour in the card was maintained throughout in line with different shades of green… in order to keep the new and refreshing factor alive all the way in communication.

Net-net, not only the card was accepted and appreciated by Meeheeka’s parents but also it earned kudos in abundance from everyone invited.

Now, if you also have a party on the cards and are thinking how to invite your guests, YOUniquely, feel free to contact us only at: itsyounique@gmail.com

YOUniqueness begins at home

Since its inception on December 01, 2008, the brand YOUnique has travelled quite a distance across India and beyond the country.

So, for a little change or you can say out of sheer mischief when we decided to adhere to the mantra “YOUniqueness begins at home,” it was quite a fun indeed.

For the reason obvious, I (Sushovan Chaudhuri) kept myself at the receiving end and planned to create a YOUnique Kurta – fun-filled yet satirically serious.

Given my “I think BIG”, “I seek PEACE”, and “I do RELEASE (more often than not) :P” capability and credibility, nothing but a glorified “commode” is considered as the HERO of the theme. Hence it’s duly drawn on the front side of the Kurta with a qualifying line (in Bengali) that says, “Tyagei Shanti” – meaning: Peace is to Release!

After that, on the backside of the Kurta the visual of a flying goat along with the nib of a pen is formed to help me express – reminiscing, actually – the VERY famous quote of an ad honcho that he said to me when I was about to start my career in advertising as a copywriter way back in 1996. His quote was, “Sushovan, if you become a copywriter, the goat can also fly!”

Thanks to his inspiration, today I’m able to write a little bit of copy and feeding myself with breads (butter included) rather happily with contentment. And that phenomenon is described by me as the scribe (in Bengali), “Proti Lekhaye Chhagol Orai” i.e. A goat becomes a kite because I write!

Irrespective of the height, which the goat has soared so far, it has allowed me to remain as grounded as ever. In fact very close to the grass, to the dust, and to the soil. And because of that, the base-shade of the Kurta is taken as nothing but moss green.

Hope you enjoyed it! If yes, why don’t you write to us only at itsyounique@gmail.com to tickle at others’ funny bones with your YOUniqueness?

YOUniqueness bestows upon Malabika

Home is where heart is. And where also Malabika is.

An ardent homemaker, a refined singer, a leaf lover, a connoisseur of short stories by Rabindranath, Bibhutibhushan and Manik (Bandopadhya), and the namesake of a famous queen of ancient India… Malabika Sengupta well and truly holds a symposium of many characters within her unanimated demure self.

So when the lady desired to shelter herself under a coveted YOUnique Umbrella meeting her persona, it ignited quite a spark in our creative adrenalin.

Golden yellow is zeroed in on as the base hue of the Umbrella exuding Malabika’s ever sailing and soaring positivism.

In line with a queen’s necklace, a design is created encircling the centre spindle of the Umbrella highlighting the embedded queen-connection in the name: Malabika.

A weaver bird engaged engrossingly in its homemaking is drawn exemplifying Malabika’s attentive, artistic and arduous homemaking skills.

The refinement of the lady’s voice as a classical singer is depicted by the silhouette figure with a tanpura that being surrounded by two raga patterns done in creeper style to express Malabika’s love for the leaf.

Finally, a signature visual of a typical village of Bengal along with a large coconut leaf is designed to showcase Malabika’s romance with short stories of Bengal’s writing prodigies.

Now, if you are thinking of how to challenge those YOUnique Malabikas… in the rain or under the sun… instead of conceding complex for your non-YOUniqueness, all you need is a YOUnique Umbrella right away. And for that, just an email from you at itsyounique@gmail.com is more than enough for us take care of your YOUniqueness.

Debmalya is YOUniquely heart-ening now

Heart failure happens when heart fails to circulate blood inside body, properly. And Mr. Debmalya Sengupta – Director and Partner of CardioRhythm Management Services Pvt. Ltd. (CRMS) – deals in this business, passionately. The man with a golden heart and pink wings is actually relentless in his service to the cardiologists in order to let every human heart succeed, happily and healthily. In the process, he always tries to help a life live without being suffered from any such failure, anymore.

Thus, when we received a call from Debmalya and while he expressed his desire for getting himself a YOUnique T-shirt, our heart actually began to thump harder than ever with sheer excitement and unbridled joy.

White is the shade, we selected for the T-shirt because Debmalya is a man who is always at peace, sporting nonchalance. Things like tension, anxiety, anger, etc. hardly surface on him, easily, unlike others. So we thought white is just perfect for him in line with the man’s cool and calm exterior and expression.

Then a heart behind the bar is designed so as to denote that a failed heart is nothing but a serious offender to one’s existence. Plus, the organ is set on the right side of the chest instead of its original position at left, to highlight the fact that such a failed heart is nothing but an imprisoned identity serving its sentence rather helplessly being far away from home.

Thereafter we wrote the scribe, “heart failure? i help to cure…,” which then connects to a stable ECG graph drawn by a “steady hand of confidence” and altogether this design composition highlights why it’s heart-ening to face Debmalya more often than not for the cardiologists across medical fraternity.

Let Debmalya turn around, and you will get to see the backside of Debmalya’s T – where the man is leaving you with a sincere request that reads “let your heart break free with me!”, thereby urging you to follow his golden heart with pink wings…

Now, if you also wish to be followed like this as a person of worth in your profession, simply follow us only at itsyounique@gmail.com, right away!

YOUnique pleased Tripti

It feels nothing but unique to please someone who herself personifies the factor “pleasure” owing to her name Tripti!

The pleasure-dame hails from the city of art and culture Lucknow and is a brilliant engineer, academically. She loves the sea, especially the marine lives… deep down. The vastness of simplicity is quite evident in and on her, and she is simply ardent to flaunt that aura of hers in public.

And for that, she desired for a YOUnique umbrella from us.

We took oceanic blue as the base colour of the umbrella, so as to match the depth and expanse of Tripti’s character in light of her likings for the sea or ocean.

Along the circumference of the umbrella, we created two types of geometrical pattern denoting her engineering acumen.

Thereafter on the base inside the periphery, we “un-watered” (no such word in lexicon folks) her favourite nautical lives through the visuals of plankton. The planktons are designed with a touch of floral art just to enhance the sensory level of the creative expression of the same.

Now, if you are game to please yourself following Tripti, lead yourself to us, only at itsyounique@gmail.com today!

Nanda Batra feels YOUniquely better now

Nanda Batra puts up at Delhi. She’s been with an electronic monolith serving the organization as a successful relationship manager for years. Inconsequential of her achievements and success, Nanda has maintained quite a down-to-earth attitude and approach so far in life, if she is to be believed. However, she’s quite bullish to show-off the nuances of her profession – which can jolly well be acknowledged and accepted by others as her “electronic” personality and disposition.

So when an email reached us at itsyounique@gmail.com following Nanda’s visit to our Blog http://www.itsyounique.blogspot.com/, we, at YOUnique, felt that an “analytical creative” was on the anvil for us to execute.

We chose the base hue of Nanda’s umbrella as earth-colour simply to signify the lady’s down-to-earth stance.

Then uniform intra as well as inter-linked shapes of square and circle were created – as if different electronic diagrams meshed altogether forming an integrated circuit – on the umbrella to showcase Nanda’s penchant for electronics and the growth curve of her solid relationship management abilities.

After all, it pays to fall in love with your profession. Whereas it satisfies to get married with YOUnique only. And for that, just an email at itsyounique@gmail.com is adequate.

Subhadra humbly turns herself YOUnique

The stir of “uniqueness” – as spooned out to you by YOUnique – has not only given the working women a reason to unfurl their umbrellas here and there in style but also tugged at the heartstrings of the homemakers!

Otherwise, being an epitome of simplicity and innocuousness, Ms. Subhadra Goswami wouldn’t have asked for a YOUnique umbrella over her head, even while, as per her self-admission, she has always been a housewife for the last 20 years or so.

And believe it or not, she just wanted to flaunt this “home-longing” of hers on her umbrella… but nothing more, nothing less, or nothing else.

The task seemed easy apparently, however it wasn’t. Because in a creative thought process too little info or nothingness is too much pressure for an apt idea and its execution.

Nevertheless, we tried and finally cracked our nuts.

We took ice-blue as the base colour of the umbrella, given Subhadra’s ice cool attitude and temperament.

Then we decided to follow a geometrical pattern for the designing in such a way so that it’s somewhat connected to the “chariot” (rath), which takes Subhadra to places. (For Subhadra and the chariot connection, please refer to Mr. Jagannath and Mr. Balaram... lol).

At the tip of the umbrella an auspicious-pattern (alpana) is created in line with the holiness or sanctity of the name “Subhadra”.

Plus her presence as the nucleus in the piety as well as in her family is visually defined with the “yellow” circles that distinctly visible… radiating positivism all around. Also, along the circumference, the identical shapes of square and triangle are devised, keeping Subhadra at the centre, to decipher, “Home is where, Subhadra is and home is what, she carries.” And that “home carrying” factor is denoted with the “navy-blue” circles, which represent the wheels under the chariot-home.

We used the different hues of green along with yellow in the geometrical constructions simply to highlight that Subhadra’s “humbleness” is actually the reservoir of her all positive energies.

So what on earth are you waiting for? To follow the suit of Subhadra, all you need to do is send a mail to us at itsyounique@gmail.com. And that’s it!

YOUnique gratifies Anuj’s contribution

Anuj Gupta of Crayons, Delhi is the man behind the Brand YOUnique’s logo. It’s him only, who created the logo of this happening Brand, denoting the uniqueness of YOUnique… so simply, yet so powerfully.

For his creative contribution to YOUnique, we owed him our heartfelt gratitude and gratefulness thus decided to gift him a YOUnique T-shirt… because Anuj is unique indeed.

We selected black as the base colour of the T because Anuj likes the shade.

Now, Anuj is the little of the big; hence integrated like a molecule (Anu)… so he remains at the heart of everything. On the contrary, he has a big heart – which is loved by everyone rather touchingly for its/his honesty, genuineness and the real life in it/him. And that’s what visually presented on the front of the T with “a hand that touches his big and red heart.”

Also, Aunj’s bike is inseparable from him that takes the ad-am everywhere. And the mark of a bike tyre signifies that very biking spree (josh) of the rider pretty unabashedly.

Moreover, the home is where his heart lives in. To Anuj, his home is like a piece of precious crystal that needs the man’s constant attention and longing for it. Hence he is like the vine, which spurs to life and grows around or on the wall of a home. And that’s what exactly expressed on the backside of the T with the vine engulfed crystal bowl.

In case, you have liked this humble gift from YOUnique to Anuj, feel free to ask for such Ts, so that you can also gratify someone’s contribution to your life – personal or professional. And for that, just an email will do at itsyounique@gmail.com

Three YOUnique sisters

Dipa, Mita and Rita are sisters. The awesome threesome hail from a very educated and cultured family. They are vibrant, quite chirpy, especially Mita and Rita. Three of them in their 50s; albeit they are still in touch with their school mates that speaks quite a volume of their intention and zeal for keeping contact with people. Besides, their sense of responsibilities is like anything and can jolly well be considered as devotion or worship to any duty, which they are entrusted with.

So, when the three sis approached us for three YOUnique Umbrellas, for the reason obvious we became excited. And from the nuts within our skulls, we churned out the following –

Education and culture spread the fragrance of a family. And what else but flowers can better air this very essence of a family… through the family’s children?! Also, flowers represent vibrancy, compassion, care, dutifulness, sensibilities, sensitivities, responsiveness… and, above all else, happiness – the quality, which the three sis aptly and duly exude, individually, as well as in fraternity.

Hence floral! Precisely three-types of flower were taken as the anchor motif for the design of the umbrellas.

The base hues Blue, Maroon and Mauve were selected as per Dipa, Mita and Rita’s respective choices of colours.

In case, equaling the three YOUnique sisters, you too wish to bring “uniqueness” to your sibling-bonds; we are just a mail away from you at itsyounique@gmail.com

YOUnique energy for Green Concretex manpower

Green Concretex Materials (P) Ltd., based at Kolkata, is the RMC (Ready Mixed Concrete) behemoth in Eastern India. Their clientele not only includes the construction giants across India but also it’s the Brand’s quality that creates a new benchmark in its category across industries.

Therefore, when YOUnique was entrusted with the job of creating YOUnique T-shirts for the workforce (220 nos.) of Green Concretex, we felt the real nerve in order to match their expectation and live up to our promise of uniqueness.

More so, because the client’s brief was simple, “Give us the Ts that will bolster our image and the spirit to work harder and better.” So, you can say, we were asked to create the “energy-clothing” for the men with concrete-power.

The base colour of the Ts was taken as “grey” highlighting the concrete factor of the Brand.

As the name suggests, (Green) Concretex has always been responsible toward environment. Thus we began the design with two green-stripes (in front) as if to represent the Brand is bearing the green-responsibility on its shoulder while it faces the world.

We followed it up with the Brand’s logo – which is the green earth under the shelter of concrete petals – and the Bran’s name along with the punch line that reads, “environ-friendly concrete.”

From there, we visited the backside of the Ts and drew two parallel infinitely open-ended wavy strokes that denoted the Brand’s way-to-go surging and energetic attitude. In fact, this design also depicted (the mechanism of) a transit mixture, which is an integral instrument that carries the Brand in places.

Plus, we mentioned the slogan of the Brand, “think concrete. get concretex.”, adding that very lethal punch of the Brand’s intrinsic value proposition to its communication.

Now, if you also look forward to help your employees wear such thematically designed energy-clothing; be a sport and shoot your mail to us at itsyounique@gmail.com

Parents’ marriage anniversary made YOUnique by Barnalee

When a marriage travels all the terrains of life and reaches the 41st milestone of togetherness, it indeed calls for a celebration! And what else but a daughter’s love can add the perfect sheen and sentiment to the sensitivities of this grand occasion!

Thanks to Barnalee and her intention to present her mother Sandhya and father Bijan – the awesome twosome – a surprise gift, we, at YOUnique, are privileged to bring you the YOUnique bed sheet and the YOUnique pillow covers to commemorate your marriage anniversary, favouring your uniqueness.

The parents in unison are like the tablas. Paired and compatible to each other under one roof having built a sweet home for a happy family… for 41 years from now. When Sandhya (the right tabla or Dayan) creates the bol (rhythm or beat) Bijan (the left tabla or Bayan) complements.

Then, Barnalee – their daughter – takes the family’s education & discipline (represented by books); interest & liking (represented by garden in floral pattern); labour & performance (represented by the ghungroos); and human-values & morals (represented by a baby girl, whom Barnalee adopted with her father’s support) to places in every walks of life. This phenomenon is showcased by the footprints of a small girl, since to her parents every girl ever remains a child… and their daughter is no exception either.

In addition, the newspaper highlights one of Bijan’s favourite activities i.e. reading a daily in-depth, where on the other hand the crossword puzzle underlines Sandhya’s skill to solving the same with utmost ease.

The pillow covers are designed exactly in sync with the two’s individual uniqueness as extended renditions of the bed sheet.

For, if you wish to follow Barnalee’s footsteps in order to make your parents’ wedding anniversary YOUnique, reach us at itsyounique@gmail.com anytime, from anywhere in the world.

YOUnique cheers to Abhinandan

When a guy’s name is Abhinandan, what else can he afford to do but doing things that fetch him appreciation and acknowledgment all around amidst cheer and applause!

Thus, it was really a spirited work for us to accomplish, at YOUnique, with Abhinandan’s T-shirt.

The base colour of the T is selected as red, which connotes Abhinandan’s youthfulness in keeping with the cheer of appreciation, praise and accolades.

The guitar denotes Abhi’s electrifying personality and presence that he offers to lives, whoever he meets… as if Abhi carries the fire in the belly always.

The Friday Garden on the T’s chest; close to Abhi’s heart, expresses his romantic nature and empathises his likings for love stories.

And the split star reinforces the very fact that Abhi personifies, as well as amplifies, the CHEER (may be with occasional jeers) of admiration and quite a star, as the centre of attraction, wherever he goes and whatever you does!

Plus, information Technology (IT) is Abhi’s profession. And his knowledge in this field, as per his conviction and confidence, is rather deep. Thus, even while, or even if, the IT industry is somewhat dwindling, he can afford to lay back on his knowledge and solid understanding of the subject, and simply relax, thinking of the success-pie, (as portrayed by a chunk of cake), in future.

Exactly that is projected on the back side of Abhi’s T.

Now, if the star in you is also up to be celebrated and cheered like this rather YOUniquely, just a mail will do, only at itsyounique@gmail.com

Supratim dons his YOUnique attitude

If his self-perception was to be believed, Supratim was no hero but an average next door guy. Albeit when he desired to flaunt his “uniqueness” rather YOUniquely, we were happy with his attitude, which, frankly, fell apart quite in contrast to his typical submissive approach towards life.

From his answers to our YOUnique questionnaire, we discovered the following facets and facts of Supratim –

He loves to love. Truly, unconditionally and, for that matter, doesn’t mind to get hurt at heart. He values each and every relationship, and tries to empathise each one’s sentiment in his own humble way. Moreover, he never flutters when it boils down carrying responsibilities, even if the onus grows really BIG on him.

Interesting! Isn’t it?

Perhaps this emotional composition in his cells inspired Supratim to take microbiology as his subject of research. And, his determination to excel in his research is awesome, as perceived from his attachment to the work.

Once the postmortem of Supratim’s uniqueness got over, we began to design his YOUnique T.

Black is chosen as the base colour of the T to ooze out confidence off Supratim, as well as to meet his favourite colour.

A larger than life BIG heart is created on the chest of the T with a variety of human expressions to portray the constitution of Supratim’s heart that’s not only as BIG as this but also holds so much so kaleidoscopic emotions in it.

The ant represents Supratim’s humble yet responsible to the core nature, bearing onus many times beyond his capacity.

The three very words LOVE, CARRY and LIVE form the staircase of Supratim’s beliefs and values... for him to step on and climb up, gradually, in life.

And on the back of the T, the lab with magnified micro-cells connotes Supratim’s personification as a determined and dedicated micro-biology research fellow – who slogs hard and honest day in and day out.

Now, in case your non-hero persona is also starving to feed itself with such a YOUnique attitude and aura, count on us at itsyounique@gmail.com, immediately.

Maurin enjoys YOUniqueness at New Jersey

Anuradha flew down to Kolkata from New Jersey, USA. She met us at YOUnique and desired to gift a YOUnique Umbrella to her boss Maurin.

From her, we came to know that Maurin was a dynamic lady with full of positive energy.

Maurin loves movies and has a strong liking for India and its culture. Precisely, her fondness goes berserk for Indian art forms – which possess intricacy in design and colours.

Also, Maurin loves jungles with all wildness intact and the lady works in a credit insurance firm.

With these dopes on Maurin, our creative adrenalin began to flow.

First, we zeroed in on the base colour of the Umbrella. We chose golden-yellow to exude Maurin’s aura of positivism.

A film strip is done to highlight the fact that the lady is a movie buff.

The parapets and minarets in Rajasthani miniature, the elephant and the badshah on it in Mughal miniature, and the pattern where a tiger and a lion are fighting with each other in vine-configuration are introduced into the design to meet and amplify her fondness for India and the country’s rich heritage of art, as well as for her longing for jungles with the ferocity aplomb.

Finally, the dollar signs with the wings represent Maurin’s credit insurance profession; as if those dollars are the elves from some other planets, providing and ensuring respite and succor to people quite in contrast to the current global credit and financial scenario – that’s anything but insured, to say the least.

Now, if you want to insure your boss’s or any colleague’s YOUniqueness like Anuradha did, we are just a mail away from you at itsyounique@gmail.com

Sanchari gets a YOUnique birthday gift

“It’s interesting!” A mail did hit our inbox with this subject line. Sanjeev from Delhi shot that mail to us, at YOUnique, after he went through our blog itsyounique.blogspot.com.

For his friend Sanchari, he wanted some YOUnique gifts to make her Birthday – that’s on 24th March – memorable and “unique”!

From his answers to our YOUnique questionnaire, we came to know the following “uniqueness” of Sanchari –

She is romantic; loves to befriend but everyone or anyone. Quite open and chirpy to the people she’s comfortable with. However, she’s not humbug rather easy going. She likes the sea and the beach. She travels a lot and pretty dynamic in her approach. Media, precisely Space Marketing, is her profession, and she dons the manager’s cap with The Indian Express Limited. And her nickname is Bubble, truly in line with her easy flowing and supple personality. Moreover, she loves floral patterns and her favourite shades are Pink, Green, Blue and Peach.

We first recommended a YOUnique T-shirt to Sanjeev, and then on a second thought we offered him the duo-combo pack of a T-shirt and an Umbrella. He readily accepted our suggestion and gave us the go ahead.

Our job took off with the T-shirt. We chose Pink as its base colour. Because Pink is very girly, very romantic. On the front, a chirpy and jumping-off-the-sea dolphin is painted within a close circle with a hint of beach as expressed by the coconut trees in vicinity and a floating flower. This composition amplifies Sanchari’s persona and disposition, and her likings at a go.

Two different floral patterns followed in to complement Sanchari’s preference to the same.

On the back, we drew a doll as Sanchari, blowing off Bubble(s) – which is her nickname, incidentally – as if she’s taking herself and her media space in places. And to harp on this fact, one bubble is enlarged to accommodate three major media vehicles such as TV, Radio and Newspaper.

Once we were done with the T, we did lend our nuts to slog on the Umbrella.

We chose green as the Umbrella base. For, green is what that finds favour with both the sun and the rain; so does an Umbrella. Also the shade mingles with Pink in perfect harmony.

We extended the T’s theme up to the Umbrella sans the dolphin. The fish resigned off the Umbrella, since the Umbrella will be used in outdoor only and for lesser time than the T, hence its focal points should be limited and precise.

And in the process, the duo-combo pack of YOUnique items got ready and gifted to Sanchari (by us at Kolkata) on her birthday on behalf of her friend Sanjeev - who cares.

Now, if you want to express the same spirit and affection for your beloved ones with YOUnique gifts, help your mail reach us at itsyounique@gmail.com, today!

Tanni slips into her desired YOUniqueness

From the tinsel town Mumbai, when Tanni approached to us, at YOUnique, for an exclusive and YOUnique T-shirt, it was quite a task; given her dangerously wide and spicy personality nuances iced by some hard-to-reason-n-believe bland facets!

For instance, when her name Tanni means “water” in Tamil, she is naturally effervescent like an uncorked and ever celebrating bottle of champagne! And, mind you, this is just an example, whereas she creates and offers such fallacies everywhere, and in almost everything, every time, simply with a mischievous smile, or with an ear-to-ear grin, or with a thunderous laughter!

That’s why, we knew it was tough to drape Tanni – however we did it, successfully!

The base colour of the T was taken as white to express Tanni’s unprecedented honesty. Frankly in today’s dark episodes of life, she’s a real and rare white script.

On the chest of the T, we simply wrote rather HIGHLIGHTED the real meaning of Tanni within a floral frame – complementing her longing for floral patterns and style.

Then, with the pun intended, we described Tanni as “The Spice of Life” – which also qualifies the indispensable liquid for lives i.e. “water”. This line entailed a floral abstract illusion of water to complete and convey Tanni’s basis of character and persona.

After that, on the backside of the T, we designed the benzene ring with six dancing tea cups and formed the centre of the ring with two asymmetrical musical notes to illustrate Tanni’s profession, which is relationship management, as well as her affinity for “anytime-anywhere adda (gossip)” and “get-me-a-tune n I-can-get-into-a-zing-right-away” mood and spirit.

Should this T-shirt or any other YOUnique item tug at your heartstrings, let your fingers do the rest. Put a mail to us at itsyounique@gmail.com without quenching your burning expectations at all.

Kallol rides on YOUnique waves

Class, confidence, strength and focus form his personality. Music creates and recreates his soul. Travelling to the uncharted destinations completes his journey. Discipline facilitates his determination and a walkman is what that he can't do without in the different walks of life.

He is Kallol – the waves of life!

Thus, when Kallol approached to us… and we, at YOUnique, decided to design Kallol’s YOUnique T-shirt, it was a real thrill!

We took black as the T’s base colour to complement his personality, as well as to match his favourite colour. The piano rids along with the notation – as done on the front-side of the T – express the essence of Kallol’s soul i.e. the waves resonating nothing but music.

Then, on the backside of the T, the unknown cliff hails the traveller in him to an uncharted voyage, while the railway track exudes Kallol’s nomadic spree though on the disciplined moves... always, all ways.

And the walkman accompanies Kallol, helping him roam, nonchalantly, wherever he goes.

If this T-shirt interests you, so much so that you want to slip into your “uniqueness” today itself, trigger your email to us immediately, only at itsyounique@gmail.com

YOUnique empathised Susree’s spree

Life was really cool and peaceful to her! She used to earn in heft, so did her husband. All of a sudden a tremendous financial crisis cropped up. It took her family to a real swing like a straw in a turbulent sea. Everywhere there was only disaster for her. But she never gave up. She kept on fighting against all odds. Resulting, the economic catastrophe is gradually submitting to her “will to win” and she is able to bring back the “charm of life” (true to her name Susree) once again to herself and her family.

That’s Mrs. Susree Dutta – an M.Sc. in mathematics turned banker, for you.

When Susree met us rather candidly and unfolded her true-story for our knowledge at YOUnique, we saluted her spirit, silently. And our enthusiasm went berserk while she asked us to create a YOUnique umbrella for her.

To begin with, we chose ice-blue as the base colour of the umbrella, connoting Susree’s erstwhile cool and peaceful life. Then we introduced a strip of sand and a range of cactuses into the icy backdrop, denoting the abrupt and absurd change in her life’s serenity. After that, we helped a yellow tulip blossom on a cactus, demonstrating her phenomenal spirit of embracing positivism, always, and precisely even in those darkest of dark days. And finally we scribed the words “impossible” and “possible” such a way, using a unique calligraphy, which established Susree’s strong belief that “impossible = possible”.

Now, if you too are game to sport your winning spirit YOUniquely, we are ready to catch you at itsyounique@gmail.com

Suprakash tied up YOUniquely

This birthday – January 8, 2009 – of Mr. Suprakash has been unique indeed. Because he received the first-ever YOUnique Tie from us to celebrate the very day of his life.

Suprakash is an Electrical Engineer and a well-known figure in the field of heavy-engineering and project management. His knowledge is impeccable, so is his analytical skill – simply incredible. Besides, his capacity to do the pencil sketch happened to be awesome – though no more he finds any time to oblige the paper and the pencil. Plus, he likes light shades to deep ones on his wearables.

Hence, to us, giving him a YOUnique image in keeping with his unique personality, persona and profession, was an interesting task in hand.

We drew an apple such a way that the fruit would be placed very close to Suprakash’s Adam’s apple while he would knot the tie on him. This implied the knowledgeable side of the man.

Thereafter, from top, the apple was followed by a sinusoidal AC curve, highlighting Suprakash’s domain of education, experience and expertise that’s Electrical Engineering.

At the bottom of the tie a pencil sketch of a womb was put, expressing his spirit of creation (Srishti) as in art form.

Finally, in between the AC curve and the sketch, a line “an electric mind travels between analysis and art” was written to tie up Suprakash’s image with his uniqueness rather YOUniquely.

In case you too want a YOUnique tie for yourself or wish to gift someone with one such, email to us at: itsyounique@gmail.com immediately.

YOUnique travelled to UK for Raka

Today is YOUnique! As today, for the first time, YOUnique Umbrella travelled to UK for a customer – who wanted to be unique with us.

Yes, when Raka Sengupta from Leicestershire emailed to us, we were simply stunned with her mail content. Because she not only had all the praises for our work but also mentioned that she was dying to get one YOUnique Umbrella from us.

Frankly, though we became quite enthusiastic about the prospect of creating an Umbrella for her still our apprehension was very much there as Raka wanted a simple three-fold stuff which is not very suitable to UK’s rain, snow and wind blitzkrieg.

So we expressed our concern. But Raka was reluctant to hear us; instead she insisted she would rather use it occasionally to make a unique-image statement of hers. We understood she got a point there, hence began our process of work.

First thing first, we analysed Raka’s answers as provided against our YOUnique Questionnaire.

It revealed Raka is a Montessori teacher and a book aficionado. She is also authoring a book on child psychology. She wears sophistication and in spite of her wisdom and practical sense, she gets confused time to time, and pampers herself with imaginations, mostly the impossible ones. Her favourite colours are cream and Tussar and she wants to project a very tranquil image of hers that’s full of openness, knowledge, and imagination.

Goes without saying, Raka’s uniqueness was quite fascinating to us! So was it a real challenge to draw her aura on the Umbrella to provide her with an image and a halo to flaunt that’s to be talked about.

We took Tussar as the base of the Umbrella – which is also Raka’s favourite colour – precisely to amplify her sophistication. Then we did spread a heavy book to showcase her universe of knowledge and academic profession, and opened a window inside the book to denote Raka’s openness is the result of her profound thought.

After that we showed the night sky filled with twinkling stars, as she deals with the children; with milky-spiral and a shooting star, as part of her confusion; and with the sun (in the night sky!!!), as she imagines the impossible.

Once her universe is completed, pictorially, we chose to define it in her own buzz sentence that says, “A book is my universe of imagination.”

Thereby, we made Raka Sengupta YOUnique in UK!

What Raka could achieve in UK, you can do the same anywhere in the world, easily with us. Because you are unique… and we acknowledge and appreciate that always at itsyounique@gmail.com
