With love, Subhamoy turned Suparna YOUnique

This summer is different for Suparna. Courtesy her husband Subhamoy and his unique desire to unfold his tranquil love over his better-half.

And where there is any need for uniqueness, there is YOUnique, always, as you have known it for sure by now.

So, Subhamoy contacted us to gift a YOUnique Umbrella to her beloved wife.

As usual, the YOUnique questionnaire was sent out to Subhamoy and he provided us with quite a few info on Suparna.

Based on that, a YOUnique scale on Suparna’s uniqueness was set; exploiting which we actually designed the YOUnique Umbrella for her.

The base colour of the Umbrella is taken as blue because this shade is Suparna’s favourite.

On that spread of azure, a landscape design is created to express and magnify Suparna’s liking for this form of art.

On top of the Umbrella, around the centre spindle, the aperture captures one’s attention on Suparna’s shutter-bugging spree.

Finally, two green (tender) leaves personify the name Suparna (a tender leaf) in line with her penchant for Kathak dance by forming a typical mudra of hands of a flying bird.

Now, if you too wish to bestow such a YOUnique love, affection and care upon someone you love, feel free to email us only at itsyounique@gmail.com, today!

YOUnique invitation for Meeheeka’s 1st Birthday Celebration

Birthday is a sweet occasion! It really, really calls for a grand celebration. In fact, if it’s the first ever birthday then of course the courses of celebration must be mind-blowing.

It was no exception with Meeheeka; when the tiny, little angel decided to give her first big bite on the cake. Her parents from Mumbai approached us at YOUnique and we were entrusted with the job to create an invitation card for this gala event.

The venue was fixed at ITC Sonar, Kolkata… where the function was supposed to welcome a set of handpicked guests who were the crème de la crème of society… on October 25, 2009.

As the gravity and weight of the happening suggested, the invitation had had no chance to be something ordinary, run-of-the-mill or me-too.

So, the first things first, we decided not to dabble with any idea that was close to clichéd. Hence things like cartoons, caricatures, etc. were dropped, immediately, off our mind.

Simple thoughts put in, and it was decided that the theme would be built around Meeheeka herself.

Since, Meeheeka means a “dew drop” the visual showcased that only and an easy-on-tongue yet meaningful verse –

Beneath your feet
To top of your mind,
I bring happiness
Everyday, every night.

A little drop of dew
MEEHEEKA is me,
Your joy to share
With a pristine glee!

– was composed to define and complement the visual, aptly.

The invitation was made in a very straightforward way; where one was cordially invited by Meeheeka herself to celebrate her first bite on the cake.

The tonality of colour in the card was maintained throughout in line with different shades of green… in order to keep the new and refreshing factor alive all the way in communication.

Net-net, not only the card was accepted and appreciated by Meeheeka’s parents but also it earned kudos in abundance from everyone invited.

Now, if you also have a party on the cards and are thinking how to invite your guests, YOUniquely, feel free to contact us only at: itsyounique@gmail.com

YOUniqueness begins at home

Since its inception on December 01, 2008, the brand YOUnique has travelled quite a distance across India and beyond the country.

So, for a little change or you can say out of sheer mischief when we decided to adhere to the mantra “YOUniqueness begins at home,” it was quite a fun indeed.

For the reason obvious, I (Sushovan Chaudhuri) kept myself at the receiving end and planned to create a YOUnique Kurta – fun-filled yet satirically serious.

Given my “I think BIG”, “I seek PEACE”, and “I do RELEASE (more often than not) :P” capability and credibility, nothing but a glorified “commode” is considered as the HERO of the theme. Hence it’s duly drawn on the front side of the Kurta with a qualifying line (in Bengali) that says, “Tyagei Shanti” – meaning: Peace is to Release!

After that, on the backside of the Kurta the visual of a flying goat along with the nib of a pen is formed to help me express – reminiscing, actually – the VERY famous quote of an ad honcho that he said to me when I was about to start my career in advertising as a copywriter way back in 1996. His quote was, “Sushovan, if you become a copywriter, the goat can also fly!”

Thanks to his inspiration, today I’m able to write a little bit of copy and feeding myself with breads (butter included) rather happily with contentment. And that phenomenon is described by me as the scribe (in Bengali), “Proti Lekhaye Chhagol Orai” i.e. A goat becomes a kite because I write!

Irrespective of the height, which the goat has soared so far, it has allowed me to remain as grounded as ever. In fact very close to the grass, to the dust, and to the soil. And because of that, the base-shade of the Kurta is taken as nothing but moss green.

Hope you enjoyed it! If yes, why don’t you write to us only at itsyounique@gmail.com to tickle at others’ funny bones with your YOUniqueness?

YOUniqueness bestows upon Malabika

Home is where heart is. And where also Malabika is.

An ardent homemaker, a refined singer, a leaf lover, a connoisseur of short stories by Rabindranath, Bibhutibhushan and Manik (Bandopadhya), and the namesake of a famous queen of ancient India… Malabika Sengupta well and truly holds a symposium of many characters within her unanimated demure self.

So when the lady desired to shelter herself under a coveted YOUnique Umbrella meeting her persona, it ignited quite a spark in our creative adrenalin.

Golden yellow is zeroed in on as the base hue of the Umbrella exuding Malabika’s ever sailing and soaring positivism.

In line with a queen’s necklace, a design is created encircling the centre spindle of the Umbrella highlighting the embedded queen-connection in the name: Malabika.

A weaver bird engaged engrossingly in its homemaking is drawn exemplifying Malabika’s attentive, artistic and arduous homemaking skills.

The refinement of the lady’s voice as a classical singer is depicted by the silhouette figure with a tanpura that being surrounded by two raga patterns done in creeper style to express Malabika’s love for the leaf.

Finally, a signature visual of a typical village of Bengal along with a large coconut leaf is designed to showcase Malabika’s romance with short stories of Bengal’s writing prodigies.

Now, if you are thinking of how to challenge those YOUnique Malabikas… in the rain or under the sun… instead of conceding complex for your non-YOUniqueness, all you need is a YOUnique Umbrella right away. And for that, just an email from you at itsyounique@gmail.com is more than enough for us take care of your YOUniqueness.

Debmalya is YOUniquely heart-ening now

Heart failure happens when heart fails to circulate blood inside body, properly. And Mr. Debmalya Sengupta – Director and Partner of CardioRhythm Management Services Pvt. Ltd. (CRMS) – deals in this business, passionately. The man with a golden heart and pink wings is actually relentless in his service to the cardiologists in order to let every human heart succeed, happily and healthily. In the process, he always tries to help a life live without being suffered from any such failure, anymore.

Thus, when we received a call from Debmalya and while he expressed his desire for getting himself a YOUnique T-shirt, our heart actually began to thump harder than ever with sheer excitement and unbridled joy.

White is the shade, we selected for the T-shirt because Debmalya is a man who is always at peace, sporting nonchalance. Things like tension, anxiety, anger, etc. hardly surface on him, easily, unlike others. So we thought white is just perfect for him in line with the man’s cool and calm exterior and expression.

Then a heart behind the bar is designed so as to denote that a failed heart is nothing but a serious offender to one’s existence. Plus, the organ is set on the right side of the chest instead of its original position at left, to highlight the fact that such a failed heart is nothing but an imprisoned identity serving its sentence rather helplessly being far away from home.

Thereafter we wrote the scribe, “heart failure? i help to cure…,” which then connects to a stable ECG graph drawn by a “steady hand of confidence” and altogether this design composition highlights why it’s heart-ening to face Debmalya more often than not for the cardiologists across medical fraternity.

Let Debmalya turn around, and you will get to see the backside of Debmalya’s T – where the man is leaving you with a sincere request that reads “let your heart break free with me!”, thereby urging you to follow his golden heart with pink wings…

Now, if you also wish to be followed like this as a person of worth in your profession, simply follow us only at itsyounique@gmail.com, right away!

YOUnique pleased Tripti

It feels nothing but unique to please someone who herself personifies the factor “pleasure” owing to her name Tripti!

The pleasure-dame hails from the city of art and culture Lucknow and is a brilliant engineer, academically. She loves the sea, especially the marine lives… deep down. The vastness of simplicity is quite evident in and on her, and she is simply ardent to flaunt that aura of hers in public.

And for that, she desired for a YOUnique umbrella from us.

We took oceanic blue as the base colour of the umbrella, so as to match the depth and expanse of Tripti’s character in light of her likings for the sea or ocean.

Along the circumference of the umbrella, we created two types of geometrical pattern denoting her engineering acumen.

Thereafter on the base inside the periphery, we “un-watered” (no such word in lexicon folks) her favourite nautical lives through the visuals of plankton. The planktons are designed with a touch of floral art just to enhance the sensory level of the creative expression of the same.

Now, if you are game to please yourself following Tripti, lead yourself to us, only at itsyounique@gmail.com today!

Nanda Batra feels YOUniquely better now

Nanda Batra puts up at Delhi. She’s been with an electronic monolith serving the organization as a successful relationship manager for years. Inconsequential of her achievements and success, Nanda has maintained quite a down-to-earth attitude and approach so far in life, if she is to be believed. However, she’s quite bullish to show-off the nuances of her profession – which can jolly well be acknowledged and accepted by others as her “electronic” personality and disposition.

So when an email reached us at itsyounique@gmail.com following Nanda’s visit to our Blog http://www.itsyounique.blogspot.com/, we, at YOUnique, felt that an “analytical creative” was on the anvil for us to execute.

We chose the base hue of Nanda’s umbrella as earth-colour simply to signify the lady’s down-to-earth stance.

Then uniform intra as well as inter-linked shapes of square and circle were created – as if different electronic diagrams meshed altogether forming an integrated circuit – on the umbrella to showcase Nanda’s penchant for electronics and the growth curve of her solid relationship management abilities.

After all, it pays to fall in love with your profession. Whereas it satisfies to get married with YOUnique only. And for that, just an email at itsyounique@gmail.com is adequate.

Subhadra humbly turns herself YOUnique

The stir of “uniqueness” – as spooned out to you by YOUnique – has not only given the working women a reason to unfurl their umbrellas here and there in style but also tugged at the heartstrings of the homemakers!

Otherwise, being an epitome of simplicity and innocuousness, Ms. Subhadra Goswami wouldn’t have asked for a YOUnique umbrella over her head, even while, as per her self-admission, she has always been a housewife for the last 20 years or so.

And believe it or not, she just wanted to flaunt this “home-longing” of hers on her umbrella… but nothing more, nothing less, or nothing else.

The task seemed easy apparently, however it wasn’t. Because in a creative thought process too little info or nothingness is too much pressure for an apt idea and its execution.

Nevertheless, we tried and finally cracked our nuts.

We took ice-blue as the base colour of the umbrella, given Subhadra’s ice cool attitude and temperament.

Then we decided to follow a geometrical pattern for the designing in such a way so that it’s somewhat connected to the “chariot” (rath), which takes Subhadra to places. (For Subhadra and the chariot connection, please refer to Mr. Jagannath and Mr. Balaram... lol).

At the tip of the umbrella an auspicious-pattern (alpana) is created in line with the holiness or sanctity of the name “Subhadra”.

Plus her presence as the nucleus in the piety as well as in her family is visually defined with the “yellow” circles that distinctly visible… radiating positivism all around. Also, along the circumference, the identical shapes of square and triangle are devised, keeping Subhadra at the centre, to decipher, “Home is where, Subhadra is and home is what, she carries.” And that “home carrying” factor is denoted with the “navy-blue” circles, which represent the wheels under the chariot-home.

We used the different hues of green along with yellow in the geometrical constructions simply to highlight that Subhadra’s “humbleness” is actually the reservoir of her all positive energies.

So what on earth are you waiting for? To follow the suit of Subhadra, all you need to do is send a mail to us at itsyounique@gmail.com. And that’s it!

YOUnique gratifies Anuj’s contribution

Anuj Gupta of Crayons, Delhi is the man behind the Brand YOUnique’s logo. It’s him only, who created the logo of this happening Brand, denoting the uniqueness of YOUnique… so simply, yet so powerfully.

For his creative contribution to YOUnique, we owed him our heartfelt gratitude and gratefulness thus decided to gift him a YOUnique T-shirt… because Anuj is unique indeed.

We selected black as the base colour of the T because Anuj likes the shade.

Now, Anuj is the little of the big; hence integrated like a molecule (Anu)… so he remains at the heart of everything. On the contrary, he has a big heart – which is loved by everyone rather touchingly for its/his honesty, genuineness and the real life in it/him. And that’s what visually presented on the front of the T with “a hand that touches his big and red heart.”

Also, Aunj’s bike is inseparable from him that takes the ad-am everywhere. And the mark of a bike tyre signifies that very biking spree (josh) of the rider pretty unabashedly.

Moreover, the home is where his heart lives in. To Anuj, his home is like a piece of precious crystal that needs the man’s constant attention and longing for it. Hence he is like the vine, which spurs to life and grows around or on the wall of a home. And that’s what exactly expressed on the backside of the T with the vine engulfed crystal bowl.

In case, you have liked this humble gift from YOUnique to Anuj, feel free to ask for such Ts, so that you can also gratify someone’s contribution to your life – personal or professional. And for that, just an email will do at itsyounique@gmail.com

Three YOUnique sisters

Dipa, Mita and Rita are sisters. The awesome threesome hail from a very educated and cultured family. They are vibrant, quite chirpy, especially Mita and Rita. Three of them in their 50s; albeit they are still in touch with their school mates that speaks quite a volume of their intention and zeal for keeping contact with people. Besides, their sense of responsibilities is like anything and can jolly well be considered as devotion or worship to any duty, which they are entrusted with.

So, when the three sis approached us for three YOUnique Umbrellas, for the reason obvious we became excited. And from the nuts within our skulls, we churned out the following –

Education and culture spread the fragrance of a family. And what else but flowers can better air this very essence of a family… through the family’s children?! Also, flowers represent vibrancy, compassion, care, dutifulness, sensibilities, sensitivities, responsiveness… and, above all else, happiness – the quality, which the three sis aptly and duly exude, individually, as well as in fraternity.

Hence floral! Precisely three-types of flower were taken as the anchor motif for the design of the umbrellas.

The base hues Blue, Maroon and Mauve were selected as per Dipa, Mita and Rita’s respective choices of colours.

In case, equaling the three YOUnique sisters, you too wish to bring “uniqueness” to your sibling-bonds; we are just a mail away from you at itsyounique@gmail.com
